Venerdì Santo a Mogliano

The historic re-enactment of the Passion of Christ by Mogliano is a religious and scenic event among the most original of the Marche: the first edition is dated 1962. The squares and streets of Mogliano, light up with new light that leads to relive the last hours of the life of Jesus Christ. The commemoration begins with the representation of the “LAST DINNER” and continues with “THE PROCESS” in front of Pontius Pilate, “THE CRUCIFIXION” and finally the “RELIGIOUS PROCESSION” with the Bara del Cristo Morto, the saints and the symbols of the Passion; it is precisely in the latter that the Good Friday Procession establishes its roots since its annual development is documented since 1769 in the archives of the historian Moglianese Carnili.
